Audiological background
To the wearer, a super-power device is not simply a means of communication, it defines their particular world of sound, empowering them to get the most out of life. Understanding the needs and wants of super-power users combined with the Danalogic technological legacy and expertise has produced the Danalogic 6090. A super-power instrument offering a tried & tested fusion of power and sound quality.
FeedbackOffering this much gain without feedback can be a huge fitting challenge. By including the 6th generation of industry-leading DFS feedback cancellation in the 6090, we can offer super-power users not only get the power they need, but power they can actually use. If feedback occurs, the DFS system of the 6090 counters the ringing effect to remove the whistling noise that feedback creates, without reducing gain.High GainFor super-power users, high gain can mean unpleasantly loud or even painful output levels. The combination of high gain and a narrow residual dynamic range thus makes protection against uncomfortable output levels crucial. This is why the 6090 is fitted with a Multi-Channel MPO (Maximum Power Output) enabling you to adjust and customize the MPO in 6 frequency dependant channels to meet the individual needs of your patients.Individual soundWe know that super-power users need plenty of power, but they also want a high quality of sound. Achieving this, however, is not so straight forward. To a super-power user, sound equals identity – so providing them with their individual sound is crucial.Getting used to a new sound is a great challenge for many super-power users – if they are not satisfied with the sound quality of their new hearing instrument, they are resistant to change. This is why the 6090 offers your patients the choice of a Wide Dynamic Range Compression (WDRC) or Linear Scheme, and, as the 6090 is reconfigurable, patients can transfer into a different mode. WDRC provides higher audibility for the soft sounds and therefore optimum speech intelligibility. The linear scheme gives experienced analogue users a sound image they know. The linear amplification scheme has an added choice of different outputs limiting - either Peak or Soft Compression. Clean output limitationsWhen super-power users want all the benefits of clean output limitation, ReSound Danalogic 6090 Soft Compression is the ideal option. With a fast attack time, users will get a controlled high output whilst enjoying a smoother, more comfortable sound particularly for loud outputs. Peak Compression is the choice for those super-power users who want the most power. Peak Compression provides a sound experience close to traditional peak clipping, but with less distorted sound quality.Fitting range
